Welcome Aussies!

Welcome Aussies!

Postby KaiserFritt0 » Wed Aug 10, 2011 4:10 am

As one of the first Australians to join this website, I welcome any and all Australian members :D I am glad that there are many more of my country's people that have had enough of the crap.

Please take the time to read through everything, and don't be afraid to bring up your own ideas for a better world :)
Some people think outside the box; I draw little windows on it and pretend it's a spaceship.

Well we are in the process of starting a United Citizens of Great Britain Party, this is exactly where we want to be going.

If you do decide to investigate starting one for Australia, let me know and I can support it with the rest of the organisation.

It could be done, but it would need to be done right. There are plenty of political parties here that have faded away.

If you do create a party, make sure you get free health care. If your not careful, you might end up not being able to afford it if the rich/poor gap becomes to great and prices for health care insurance go up (I think that is what you guys have anyway. Correct me if I am wrong, I am ignorant of Australian society).

P.S. Go Aussies! :) :D :)

There aren't enough people yet, we'll have to wait until the Australian participants are at least in their thousands. After all, in Australia, a party only needs to be very popular to succeed.

Unfortunate the Australian pickup is so slow. I only heard about this website today.

I'm guessing that makes me the number four Australian, but I don't think it matters.

Actually ex nihilo, we already have free healthcare in Australia, thankfully.

We need 500 people before we can register as a political party. I think meeting that requirement is still a long way off, but not necessarily impossible. With enough publicity, perhaps more people could gain interest?

it's certainly possible, you're a country of 22million. If only a few of you started flyering/postering, you could easily start to build up numbers. I'll give you what web resources I can from the organisation too.

Sorry about that. Like I said, I'm ignorant.

I just asked a few people and they said you didn't, but thank god you do. Maybe it was New Zealand I got confused with.

And again, I appoligise.

We should focus on establishing and registering as a non-profit organisation before focusing on a political party. Then we will have a sort of official status here, and can have a physical presence. Other countries could do the same.

In other words in most places we would be bending the law pretty hard if we did that. Maybe Australia has different laws I don't know.

I can check it out for you if you want.

As far as I'm aware, we are allowed in Australia, I'll do some research.
